So I am now going to wipe my spare HDD, install windows XP and use the ADS tech videoxpress or my Dazzle digital video creator 80, which I've had for years but not bothered So I connected his player via composite lead and easy VHS to DVD 3 plus capture device to my tablet. His does also have composite output where mine only has SCART.

Am waiting on a male double ended S-video cable to use my brother-in-law's VHS player as mine does not have a S-video output.

I have now just connected VHS player to a old Grundig portable tv and using the SCART lead into AV1 works a treat :-) now remove lead an replace with a SCART to composite adaptor, composite There is also composite input to the tv and this was the SCART to composite input connection.

I then used composite cable between two SCART to composite adaptors. I have a LG smart tv which has no SCART input but does come with an adaptor that will take a SCART connector into AV1.
